The Elektron B2 sample maker was originally developed for the US market in 1998, to provide a reliable, versatile and well priced alternative to available machines.

Since then, this machine has been bought for sample making by large and small design offices everywhere. The largest privately owned packaging company in the world has one in almost every state in Australia. Machines are running 24 hours a day doing short run work in a wide range of packaging applications.

The Elektron B2 sample maker can be made in almost any cut width and cut length. Small machines are configured for design office sample making and machines are available in full sheet or two full sheet machines for short run work. Machines are made to suit the sizes of board available in different regions and corrugated plants.

This feature makes the Elektron B2 the perfect machine for cutting digitally pre-printed board for point of sale display and for short run packaging where two cutting stations are used. While the machine is cutting in one area, the operator can pick the pieces from the other area and place the next board to be cut.

The Elektron B2 is normally supplied with Tangent or DXPlot software, and is compatible with a range of packaging industry design software including Illustrator, ArtiosCAD, Impact, Laserpoint, VisionPack, AutoCAD etc.

The Elektron B2 is fitted with a reciprocating blade cutter able to cut up to 15mm thick materials, a creasing tool with 4 profiled creasing rollers and a marker pen. The plotter can be fitted with a laser alignment pointer to allow precise registration of pre-printed board with patterns to be cut.
