Automated Fabric Feeder Systems

Aeronaut has released a fabric feeding or pulling system to fit on Elektron cutters. The system consists of gantry mounted fabric grippers working with an alignment and feeding system at the table end. The fabric grippers are designed to suit all types of fabric from sheer, open weave and light fabrics to heavy duty and non-porous fabrics of all widths.

The fabric feeder system can be supplied in a simple manually operated or in a fully automatic versions. The fabric feeder system can spread almost all styles and widths of fabric on a vacuum table and minimises operator workload and fabric distortion. When fabric is pulled onto a table by a single operator, both the fabric and the operator are twisted from being pulled from the one side. The Aeronaut fabric feeder system evenly pulls the fabric onto the vacuum table, and very little effort is required from the operator.

The time taken to position fabric on a 10 metre table ready for cutting is around 30 seconds. The fully automatic system can be operated entirely from the operator's position at the home end of the table. The manual version is operated from the away end of the table.

The fabric feeder system can accommodate almost all sizes and weights of fabric. Lighter weight rolls are carried on roller fitted to the end of the vacuum table. On longer vacuum tables, the fabric roll is powered for feeding and rewinding. Heavier rolls can be mounted on floor stands or carousels and interface with the Aeronaut system to control feed speeds etc.

The fabric feeding system is available now, and can be fitted to new and existing Aeronaut cutting tables.
