The cutter the awnings industry grew up with
One of the first five cutters Aeronaut ever built went to an outdoor awnings maker. Within a year, that business grew from two people to seven, because the time saved on cutting went into sales and installs. Since then, Aeronaut has led the field in cutters and add-ons for shade and awnings.

Elektron Mono WS Blade Cutter

The Elektron Mono LC Blade Cutter
Accurate, Powerful, Reliable and Exceptional Value For Money.
Cost-effective cutting systems for every shade product
Most shade businesses make a wide range of products, from conventional awnings to shade sails and small tension membranes. Knitted shade fabric needs little accuracy; other products need the precision only a flatbed cutting table gives. Aeronaut systems handle both on one machine.
Wide tables for joined fabric
The Elektron Mono WS can be built up to 6.5 metres wide. Span the widest fabrics, or join panels and cut the finished shade in one go.
Accurate seam marking
Mark seam lines with pens that fade in sunlight or wipe off, so joined panels line up every time. Inkjet printing adds pattern numbers and reference text.
Machine vision from pattern to QC
SiliconEye traces and digitises patterns, nests parts into offcuts and aligns cuts to joined fabric. It can even check a finished product’s dimensions before delivery.
World-class software that delivers for now and the future
Reliable, in-house developed software solutions to suit your design and cutting needs. Advanced visual nesting, industry specific rapid pattern pattern design, integration with third party quoting software and bespoke plug-ins to suit any application.

Frequently asked questions
What tool do I need for awning and shade fabrics?
A 28 mm rotary blade cuts about 95% of the fabrics used in outdoor awnings and shade structures. Cam-lock tools change by hand in seconds if you need a drag knife, creaser or drill-punch.
Low ply cutters are actually used for both low and high volume production, but are perhaps more suited to industries where high accuracy is required, and short runs, just-in-time production or one-offs are made. Our customers do cut multiple layers where the job demands it, but typically, most Aeronaut cutters only cut one layer of material at a time, which can be up to 20 mm in thickness.
Do I need a vacuum table?
For accuracy on most fabrics, yes. Shade mesh is the exception: it can usually be cut accurately enough for the finished product without vacuum.
How wide can the cutting table be?
The Elektron Mono WS can be built up to 6.5 metres wide, so you can cut the widest fabrics or finished products from joined panels.
Can the software connect to my order system?
Yes. ParaSol’s Automatic Data Entry reads an order list from your factory management software and creates every pattern automatically. Fabric details can also be imported as a CSV file.
